1. Dune Extended Edition. The extended edition portion of this refers to the infamous Alan Smithee extended TV cut which David Lynch disowned. This is an example of how an extended edition can actually make a film worse. The theatrical release is here as well, and if you are a Frank Herbert or David Lynch fan, this is a great addition to your collection.
2. Tim Burton's Corpse Bride. Tim Burton has done it again with another critically acclaimed stop motion animation picture. Interestingly enough, Tim Burton did not direct The Nightmare Before Christmas. It was directed by Henry Selick. DVDTalk chimes in with their review.
